President Trump’s reelection campaign recently released a 30 second ad, describing his first 100 days in office.
First, CNN refused to air the ad, because it called them out for being fake news (which they are). Now, however, three more networks have also banned the ad:
- American Broadcasting Company (ABC)
- Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)
- National Broadcasting Company (NBC)
The campaign had planned to put $1.5 million spend behind the ad, but now, due to the ‘Streisand Effect,’ it’s getting an enormous amount of free publicity. Any time the media tries to censor something, which they’re very obviously doing with this pro-Trump reelection ad, it just grows in popularity.
The ad cites numerous facts, such as how over 500,000 new jobs have been created, how we’ve been becoming “more energy independent,” and how Trump has the “biggest tax cut plan in history.”
It then goes on to destroy the mainstream media, by announcing that “You wouldn’t know it by watching the news…” and showing 5 anchors, with “Fake News,” over them.
- Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC, who said that it’s “our job to control exactly what people think”
- Wolf Blitzer of CNN, who continues to push the “Trump is a Neo-Nazi” narrative
- Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, who has repeatedly lambasted Trump on the air
- George Stephanopoulos of ABC, who failed to disclose his donations to the Clinton Foundation
- Scott Pelley of CBS, who did an entire 60 Minutes special where he called Mike Cernovich “fake news”
Lara Trump, Donald’s daughter-in-law, who is a consultant to the campaign organization, said in a statement that “apparently, the mainstream media are champions of the First Amendment only when it serves their own political views.”
She accuses the networks of blatant censorship, as well: “Faced with an ad that doesn’t fit their biased narrative, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC have now all chosen to block our ad. This is an unprecedented act of censorship in America that should concern every freedom-loving citizen.”
Daily Mail also reports:
“The network ‘requested that the advertiser remove the false graphic that the mainstream media is ‘fake news,’ a CNN spokeswoman told DailyMail.com this week.”
” ‘The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false and per policy will only be accepted if that graphic is deleted.’ “
“The statement didn’t dispute any of the ad’s other claims lauding Trump’s moves to slash regulations, create jobs, and confirm Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. “
“The Trump camp didn’t shy from CNN’s pushback – blasting it out in a press release to its base of supporters and contributors.”
” ‘It is absolutely shameful to see the media blocking the positive message that President Trump is trying to share with the country. It’s clear that CNN is trying to silence our voice and censor our free speech because it doesn’t fit their narrative,’ said Michael Glassner, the campaign’s executive director.”
Trump hasn’t been phased, though—he has nearly 29 million followers on Twitter, and recently hosted a Pennsylvania rally where he blasted the fake mainstream news in front of 10,000 roaring fans.
The mainstream media is absolutely terrified that their death grip on the American news cycles is failing. We don’t need them anymore, because in the age of information, the truth cannot be hidden.
