5 Prophetic Orwell Quotes That Are Eerily True About America Today

Orwell Quotes America 2

George Orwell, author of 1984, has long been viewed as the father of dystopian literature. After noticing a wave of governments push for increased gun control, censorship, and freedom restrictions, he wrote his treatise on dictatorships.

In it, he pictures a way of life that’s shockingly similar to modern day America—thankfully Donald Trump is trying to reverse much of this, but the quotes are still terrifying to say the least. How this man was able to predict such things, decades into the future, is beyond us.

While many would rather skip over this article and bury their heads in the sand, it’s time for the people of America to wake up. Democrats and their Antifa allies have slowly been eroding our rights, taking away our guns, and censoring our speech.

Unless we want to end up as a perpetual hell, like Oceania in Orwell’s 1984, it’s high time that we speak out. As a side note, if you haven’t read the novel, now is the time to do so—it should be required reading in every single public school, so that children are aware of what tyranny governments are capable of.

“In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

When Donald Trump came to the stage in 2016 and began exposing the corrupt news establishment, he was met with intense fire and resistance. Millions of brainwashed liberals believed the slander which CNN pushed about him, and cried out with threats of violence.

This has only grown worse as the liberals in America have sunk even deeper into their states of complacency and stupidity. Simply pointing out facts, such as that the gender wage gap is a myth, or that Donald Trump isn’t a racist, is now a revolutionary act.

“He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.”

Over the past month, liberals have been pressing their local governments to erase our history and tear down confederate monuments. While this may seem like a noble act, for the sake of “equality,” on the surface, it’s far more sinister than that.

Liberals don’t give a damn about equality, which is why we’ve seen them slowly push us farther and farther away from our freedoms. First they said it was just the confederate monuments, but after the government gave into that, now they’re advocating for the complete and total abolition of any and all American monuments.

It was never about the confederate monuments, my fellow patriots. It was never about fighting racism, it was never about achieving equality, and it was never about showing tolerance. It was, and always has been, about historical censorship.

The liberal elite know that if they wish to control the American people, they must erase our history to render us castrated. When a people are deprived of their culture and their history, they lose their sense of identity—they lose all purpose and meaning.

“Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”

The liberals in this country are masters at twisting words to push their selfish agenda. They frequently label conservatives as being “racist,” or “sexist,” despite the fact that there’s zero evidence for their claims.

The far left has been beating us at the semantics game for too long, because they understand that he who controls the language controls the people. Leftists have been using language to make their lies sound truthful, and their hate sound reasonable—such as how they’ve justified assaulting innocent civilians, because they’re “racist.”

One of the biggest defeats we’ve suffered is how we’ve let liberals equate words with violence. In their world, saying something that might lead to violence, actually is violence. This is why they feel justified in physically attacking someone who says something that may, in some vague manner, lead to physical confrontation.

“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”

Despite frequent historical reminders that prove how terribly important freedom of speech is, the far left never seems to learn. Most “progressives,” are anything, but—they don’t give a single damn about being progressive, they just use their moral high ground to shame you into oblivion.

…and God forbid you say something they deem offensive, for this is the cloak they’ve been using to hide their intentions. When liberals wish to ban freedom of speech, they never say their true intentions, which are to censor people they disagree with.

Rather, they wrap it up in a pretty little package, and justify it to the people. “We want to stop hate speech!” they’ll say, but conservatives all know what that means. They don’t give a damn about stopping hate, just stopping their opponents from speaking out against them.

“In our age there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics.’ All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred, and schizophrenia.”

Have you ever noticed how the far left continues to creep its way into every single facet of our culture? They started off just claiming that they want equality, and other things which most people can agree on—but now, they’ve turned these terms into vague buzzwords that have virtually no meaning.

The far left wants the government to regulate our bathrooms. They want to regulate our speech, they want to regulate the internet, they want to regulate the music that plays on the radio, and they want to regulate the NFL. To them, EVERYTHING is a political issue, because they hate freedom.

If liberals have their way, every single aspect of society will be controlled by the state, something which is eerily reminiscent of Communist China or the pathological brainwashing schools of North Korea. To them, everything is a political issue—that’s why they want complete and total government control over everything in sight.
