President Donald Trump was right – ANTIFA is expanding their protests to ALL of America’s Founding Fathers. Now, they are targeting Christopher Columbus, the man directly responsible for the establishment of the free nation that now abides their foolishness.
Early this morning, a bunch of ungrateful ANTIFA members recorded themselves vandalizing America’s oldest memorial to Christopher Columbus, located in Baltimore. A YouTube video posted by a group calling itself “Popular Resistance” shows the attack, which left a stone plaque in pieces.
The monument dates back to 1792 and according to a Columbus Monuments website, was a gift from the French.
It was donated by the French Consul to Baltimore, Charles Francois Adrian de Paulmier, Chevalier d’Anmour. It is the first monument to Columbus in the United States (and in the world). It was initially erected in 1792 on the consul’s estate at the corner of North Avenue and Harford Road. It was moved to the present location in Herring Run Park near Harford Road near the Samuel Ready Institute on Columbus Day, 1964.
That history didn’t stop ANTIFA members from vandalizing the monument and recording the incident. The video, titled “Oldest Monument to Columbus Vandalized in Protest of White Supremacy,” includes narration describing their rationale. Here is a selection:
The Future Is Racial and Economic Justice. Christopher Columbus symbolizes the initial invasion of European capitalism into the Western Hemisphere. Columbus initiated a centuries-old wave of terrorism, murder, genocide, rape, slavery, ecological degradation, and capitalist exploitation of labor in the Americas. What kind of a culture goes to such lengths to build such hate-filled monuments? What kind of a culture clings to these monuments in 2017? The culture of white supremacy preceded the United States. It’s at the foundation of U.S. culture, business, bureaucracies, and psychology.
In the video, a hooded figure is shown walking to the monument and destroying the plaque with a sledgehammer.
Here is the video.
No suspects have been arrested in the crime.
