Apparently we’re doing such a good job at spreading awareness that even 7 year olds know CNN is fake news.
Jake Tapper, popular CNN host of “The Lead,” has recently admitted that his 7 year old son calls him “fake news,” whenever he’s annoying him:
“[He] now does an impression where whenever I’m bothering him he says, ‘fake news,’” Jake told MTV’s Ana Marie Cox.
Jake then went on to give a heart-wrenching interview, about how Trump is being super mean, because CNN is only trying to get the truth (haha):
“I’ve got two kids,” Tapper said. “They’re going to someday read back about this period in our history and I want them to be proud of me.”
“Tapper, the host of CNN’s “The Lead” and “State of the Union,” dismissed criticism that he was too tough on the Trump administration, responding that he treated the Obama administration the same way.”
“To be completely candid, I did fact checks about [former President] Barack Obama, too,” he said. “Not at the same rate, nor was there a need for them at the same rate.”
“I know people that hated me then back then but now like the fact checks I’m doing about Donald Trump. I feel like I’m being consistent.” [Source]
Since then, various media outlets have picked up on the story and had a good laugh at CNN’s expense, including the infamous Mark Dice:
I don’t know about you guys, but this gives me hope—the fact that the younger generation is starting to wake up, even if only as a joke at first, means that the future of this country is secure.
