We are supposed to believe that there’s nothing to see here with a private meeting between the sitting Attorney General and a former president who’s wife is currently running for president and is under investigation by said attorney general.
Like this wasn’t said by Bill Clinton once, or two-dozen times…
Attorney General Loretta Lynch met privately with Bill Clinton in Phoenix, Ariz. Tuesday afternoon amid the federal government’s ongoing probe into Hillary Clinton’s unsecured email server.
Lynch met with the former president for 30 minutes aboard a government-owned private jet at Sky Harbor International Airport, local network ABC15 reported.
Lynch, who will have the final legal authority on any indictments concerning Clinton and her former State Department aides, only confirmed the unannounced meeting after she was pressed by the Arizona news station.
Lynch said her conversation with the former president did not touch on government business.
BULL AND SHIT.
“There was no discussion on any matter pending before the Department or any matter pending with any other body, there was no discussion of Benghazi, no discussion of State Department emails,” she said at the Phoenix Police Department.
Clinton waited for Lynch at the airport after he was notified she would be arriving.
In March, the FBI completed its year-long investigation into Clinton’s private email server. Agency Director James Comey, who was joined by DOJ investigators during the probe, will make a recommendation to Lynch about whether to pursue criminal charges against Clinton or her aides.
Lynch, an Obama appointee, will be in charge of making the final decision on indictments.
Being a former President means he doesn’t quite have the power of retribution if Lynch defies whatever she was told to do in that meeting, but the Clintons are surely banking on winning, given the polls are in their favor right now I have no doubt good ‘ol Billy “gently” reminded her of that and of what can and will happen once they’re back in the Oval Office in spite of (and especially because of) any effort to keep her out through criminal investigation.
