CIA Director John Brennan is not happy with Donald Trump’s recent comments about the intelligence community.
In an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Brennan spoke out against Trump’s criticism of U.S. intelligence. He also spoke out about Trump’s knack for tweeting out whatever is on his mind. “Spontaneity is not something that protects national security interests,” he said.
CIA Director John Brennan on Sunday had a stern parting message for Republican Donald Trump days before he assumes the U.S. presidency, cautioning him against loosening sanctions on Russia and warning him to watch what he says.
Brennan rebuked the president-elect for comparing U.S. intelligence practices to Nazi Germany in comments that laid bare the friction between Trump and the intelligence community he has criticized and is on the verge of commanding.
In an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” Brennan questioned the message sent to the world if the president-elect broadcasts that he does not have confidence in the United States’ own intelligence agencies.
“What I do find outrageous is equating intelligence community with Nazi Germany,” Brennan said. “I do take great umbrage at that.”
Watch this exchange between Brennan and Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday. Brennan is especially annoyed by Trump’s constant tweeting, which he feels could jeopardize national security if he slips up.
While Brennan’s opinion deserves some respect due to his experience, his judgment has also been questionable. TheGatewayPundit.com points out some of his questionable statements in past years.

While Brennan makes some valid points on the value of our intelligence agents and the need for a nuanced approach to our enemies, he certainly made the wrong choice in calling out our future President in such a public manner.
