Planned Parenthood using sales of ‘Trump Lollipops’ to fund abortions

Trump lollipops

Planned Parenthood International has never been shy about fighting for the chance to kill the unborn. They have been vocal in opposing President Donald Trump’s efforts to defund their organization. A new fundraising project to fund Planned Parenthood, however, sets a new level of weirdness. A new line of Donald Trump lollipops is being sold to fund their efforts, including abortion.

Faced with the possibility of being defunded by the Republican majority in Congress, Planned Parenthood has looked for other ways to keep the cash rolling in. Some abortion rights groups have stepped up efforts for raising private donations.

Twitchy reports a group of high school students sold “vagina lollipops” last year to raise money for Planned Parenthood. In that case, of course, the kids kept half of the money for themselves. Liberals…gotta love them.

Now, a British company called Smith and Sinclair has created “Trump Sucks” lollipops, with 100% of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood International. Smith and Sinclair is a company claims to “create tantalising and provocative edible experiences for adults who crave more.” Their Trump lollipops sell for about $6 each. At that price, the company apparently wants adults who crave wildly overpaying for provocative edible experiences.

Here’s their Instagram announcement.

I’m guessing these Brits didn’t vote for Brexit.

Rachel Thompson of Mashable reports the details.

Alcoholic sweets company Smith and Sinclair is selling limited edition “Trump sucks” lollipops to protest Trump’s reinstatement of an anti-abortion policy. 100 percent of the profits from the lollipops will be donated to the International Planned Parenthood Federation.

In January, Donald Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy, known as the global gag rule, which prevents non-governmental organisations working abroad from receiving federal funding for family planning if they perform abortions or even talk to their clients about abortion.

The lollies come in two flavours — butterscotch and sea salt, and strawberry and mint. Priced at £5 ($6.23), the lollies are available for pre-order online.

Planned Parenthood already has a lucrative side business selling stuff to fund their efforts. However, it is nothing exotic like presidential lollipops. It includes these Women’s March t-shirts. You know, that march that was supposed to be non-political but turned into a hate-fest against President Trump.

Finally, we have this tweet, which is the perfect response to this whole thing.
