SERIOUSLY? Intelligence report on Russian hacking used old TV shows as sources!

A newly released intelligence report that Democrats are using to blame the Russians for Donald Trump’s election is using some dubious sources.

According to a report on Sputniknews.com, the report points to old Russian TV news shows as possible sources of influence. The problem is, those shows were sourced during the last election. They are no longer on the air, and could not provide any influence, even if they wanted to.

According to Sputniknews, the dated sourcing was used as a key premise to the report.

The report focuses on television shows and interviews that took place four years before Trump was elected, and well before he was even a politician.

In Annex A of the report, intelligence agencies claim that “Kremlin’s TV Seeks To Influence Politics, Fuel Discontent in US.” Buried at the bottom of that page is a note stating, “This annex was originally published on 11 December 2012 by the Open Source Center, now the Open Source Enterprise.”

Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections Intelligence Report the report notes that two RT shows, ‘Breaking the Set’ and ‘Truthseeker’ focused on criticism of US. The problem is, both of these shows were off air before the 2016 election season began.

Here is the real problem with the entire intelligence report. While it is correct in pointing out the intent by Russia to INFLUENCE U.S. elections, it never concludes that the Russians were able to change the outcome in Donald Trump’s favor. Remember, the DNC emails supplied to WikiLeaks did not come from Russia. As we reported in December, the source was a Democratic insider. The person was upset over the treatment of Bernie Sanders in the primary.

The bottom line is this, even in a “worst case” scenario, Russia only did the job our media was supposed to do. Had the mainstream media exposed the corruption in the Democratic party, we would not have had to rely on anyone else to do it. If we were indeed hacked for influence purposes, we were hacked with the truth. For once.
