North Korea has repeatedly made it clear that their intentions are to do as much damage to the United States as possible. The President, the Pentagon, and military leaders are bracing for the inevitable conflict. But one former Obama administration National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, has some advice for President Trump on how to run the country in this trying time.
This corrupt oldie but goodie thinks that the President should ignore common sense and everything that the North Korean dictator has come out and said about his intentions and just “tolerate nuclear weapons in North Korea.” She lent this advice in a New York Times op-ed that somebody really should lose their job for printing.
Via Breitbart News:
“History shows that we can, if we must, tolerate nuclear weapons in North Korea — the same way we tolerated the far greater threat of thousands of Soviet nuclear weapons during the Cold War,” she wrote in a New York Times op-ed, criticizing the president’s “fire and fury” rhetoric in response to the escalating tensions between the two countries.
Rice urged Gen. John Kelly, White House chief of staff, to stop Trump, and she pointedly attacked Dr. Sebastian Gorka, the deputy assistant to the president.
“John Kelly, Mr. Trump’s chief of staff, must assert control over the White House, including his boss, and curb the Trump surrogates whipping up Cuban missile crisis fears,” she wrote.
Rice complained that Trump’s rhetoric was “unprecedented and especially dangerous” and that America would have to be cautious about its response to Pyongyang.
She defended Obama’s actions in response to North Korea, insisting that his administration put them “on edge” by conducting joint military exercises with South Korea and introducing more economic sanctions.
I suppose she forgot the part where President Trump gets a turn running things, trying to clean up the mess that her buddy Obummer made. But I suppose to Rice, all rules are a little bit flexible. In case you’ve forgotten, this isn’t the nice Rice that served under President Bush, this is the one that was at fault for the infamous “unmasking” of classified information during the last days of the Obama administration. She’s been under investigation for months and is still fleeing the stigma of treachery.
She can talk about tolerance if she wants, but we’re not talking about someone who’s hurting us with their words. This is the leader of a country (albeit a small one) who is actively arming himself to destroy as much of our country as possible. Don’t get me wrong, if it comes to it we are going to blow them off the map, but letting it “come to it” means the potential loss of life, and that’s not something that we want to tolerate.
Basically, I don’t know who told Rice that she has any standing to talk about what anyone should or shouldn’t do, considering her ethical reputation, but no matter who came up with the idea to “tolerate” nukes in the hand of people who want to kill us, it would be a bad one.
