BREAKING: Fans of President Trump will LOVE the latest addition to his administration!

A long-time Trump supporter and hero to law-and-order conservatives, Sheriff David Clarke has agreed to join the Trump Administration by accepting a position at the Department of Homeland Security.

Fans of President Trump are going to be happy about this this latest appointment…

It’s not made official yet, but news outlets are already reporting on it, so that’s a good sign it’s a done deal.

More from The Los Angeles Times:

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, who built a following among conservatives with his provocative social media presence and strong support of Donald Trump, said Wednesday that he has taken a job as an assistant secretary in the Department of Homeland Security.

The tough-talking, cowboy hat-wearing firebrand said in an interview with WISN-AM talk radio host Vicki McKenna that he will work in the Office of Partnership and Engagement as a liaison to state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies. He will start in June.

For those who are (still?) unfamiliar with Clarke, his credentials for why he would be a good fit speak for themselves:

Clarke first rose to prominence in 2013, when he ran an ad calling on Milwaukee residents to arm themselves in case they were the target of a crime.

“You have a duty to protect yourself and your family,” Clarke said.

Clarke then found himself to be the target of ads from gun-grabbing Michael Bloomberg during his re-election campaign, which Clarke won, proceeding to become a favorite of National Rifle Association and a frequent Fox News guest, as his blunt law-and-order rhetoric resonated with various members on the Right.

Welcome to the team Sheriff David Clarke!
