Washington Post’s Facebook Christmas Message Proclaims THERE WAS NO JESUS!

Washington Post Jesus

A Facebook message posted by The Washington Post on Christmas Eve is so tasteless, you’ll think it’s a joke. But they actually did it.

On the morning of Christmas Eve, the Washington Post’s Facebook page posted the following link, proclaiming that there is no historical evidence that Jesus ever existed. It included the notation “There are clearly good reasons to doubt Jesus’ historical existence.”

The article, titled “Did historical Jesus really exist? The evidence just doesn’t add up,” is written by Raphael Lataster. He is a lecturer in religious studies at the University of Sydney. He is also the author of “There Was No Jesus, There Is No God.”

Even worse, the article the post linked to was from 2014. It was not even a recent post or breaking news worthy of promotion. It seems whomever is running the Washington Post Facebook page went out of their way to be a Grinch for Christmas.

Here is a screenshot of the post.

Suffice it to say, even people who do not share the Christian faith found the post tasteless. One individual responded “Wth, I am not very religious, but this is crap to post this on Christmas Eve.

Another individual posted “If this was about any other religion WAPO would be screaming about how disrespectful it was for someone to print this..Nice subject on Christmas. And you wonder why people have a problem with you.”
