The Super Bowl champion New England Patriots visited the White House today, for the traditional visit with the President. That didn’t mean that All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski was on his best behavior, however. He was caught on camera crashing Sean Spicer’s press briefing live on television.
During today’s White House press briefing with Sean Spicer, Gronkowski poked his head in. “Need any help?” he asked Spicer.
“No, I’m OK,” Spicer replied.
After Gronkowski left and the media had a rare round of laughs, Spicer chimed in. “All right, that was cool,” he joked.
Here’s the video of the exchange.
Even if you’re not a Patriots fan, you have to love this.
As most of the Patriots celebrated the Super Bowl win at the White House, some players did not attend. Tom Brady, who is a vocal supporter of President Trump, was a last-minute cancellation, citing family issues, and it is not belived that his absence was political.
At least six Patriot players, however, chose not to attend for political reasons. Tight end Martellus Bennett, defensive end Chris Long, defensive tackle Alan Branch, running back LeGarrette Blount, safety Devin McCourty, and linebacker Dont’a Hightower were all reportedly not at the White House today.
