7 Humorous Columbus Day Memes

When I was in elementary school in the 80’s we got a very different take on Columbus Day and who Christopher Columbus was. This song is very similar to what I learned growing up.

There’s a much different narrative being told now. It’s much more truthful in that it doesn’t hide the warts being hidden under the super-heroic narrative I received as a kid, and that’s a good thing. It also means now there are a lot of memes about him being the “Butcher of the Bahamas,” or something like that. That said, I tried to find a pretty good range/balance.

Also, check out here and/or here for about as fair a take on the man as you can get.
