Societal Parasite, Al Sharpton’s tweets about Jesus – INCREDIBLY STUPID

Al Sharpton tweet

Yes, Al Sharpton is still alive. Every now and then, he climbs out from under his rock and does something stupid to remind us.

When he isn’t avoiding the IRS and tax evasion charges, Sharpton occasionally weighs in on social and political issues. MSNBC gives him a platform for his views, but since no one watches MSNBC, he has to find other ways of being relevant. And so, he makes stupid public statements to stir the pot.

The latest controversy comes in yet another stupid Al Sharpton tweet. In the tweet, Sharpton asserts that the young Jesus and his family were refugees. “Before you head to church today, remember to thank God for his son, Jesus a refugee who fled to Egypt.”

Here is the tweet.

Of course, the tweet ignited an instant response both for and against. Liberals used it to call Republicans hypocrites for failing to follow the example of Jesus. Funny how liberals like to use the Bible, but only when it serves their political purposes.

The fact that Jesus fled with his family to Egypt doesn’t exactly make him a refugee. It certainly doesn’t equate with the modern day refugee situation, If Sharpton knew his Bible, he would know there actually are verses about how we should welcome refugees and strangers into our land. Sharpton doesn’t know this, because he likely hasn’t cracked open his Bible in years.

Conservatives, on the other hand, pointed out the fallacy of the logic in the tweet.

It should be noted that Al Sharpton’s “reverend” credentials are dubious at best. It clearly should not be taken as proof that he has had any formal religious training. His “reverend” title came from being “ordained” at the age of ten by a minister.
