This just in—a popular frozen burrito brand known as “Menu Del Sol,” is recalling over 200 cases of frozen beans and cheese burritos due to potential Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.
The FDA’s official report can be seen here:
“Sigma Alimentos Congelados, which produces burritos under the Menu Del Sol brand name, is voluntarily recalling 201 cases of frozen beans and cheese burritos because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.”
“Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. The recalled product was distributed in and sold via retail outlets in California and Nevada.”
“Only the following product is included in this recall:”
