President Trump spoke in Cedar Rapids, Iowa last night to an enthusiastic crowd. Of course, members of the “resistance” were on hand as well. Their classless actions show their true colors, at a time when America is calling for political civility.
President Trump’s speech touched on a number of issues, but at one point, he took a moment to talk about Rep. Steve Scalise and the other victims of the Alexandria shooting. It was during this time that protesters chose to interrupt the President.
While he offering his thoughts and prayers to Rep. Scalise, Trump protesters began blowing police whistles in an attempt to silence the President.
Trump, for his part, briefly turned in the direction of the whistles and pointed. “Never fails,” he said, as the protesters were led away.
The Alexandria shooting has raised calls for an end to the bitter and angry political rhetoric that motivated the suspect. By taunting the President as he wishes a shooting victim well, liberals have proven they aren’t quite ready to give up their angry rhetoric yet.
Just days ago, Bernie Sanders once again called on Democrats to “fight back in every way” against Trump. His statements were made even after it was revealed the Alexandria shooter was one of his campaign volunteers.
Here’s video of the incident, tweeted out by NBC News.
