CBS Executive’s Facebook Post Expresses “No Sympathy” for Republican Vegas Victims – Here’s How Her Bosses Responded

Las Vegas was just hit with the worst mass shooting on record, but one CBS executive took to Facebook to express her lack of sympathy.

Hayley Geftman-Gold is a top legal executive for CBS, and she posted the following on Facebook as news of the Las Vegas shooting broke: “If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing. I’m actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans often are Republican gun toters.”

According to Gold, by marginalizing country music fans as “Republican gun toters,” now doesn’t matter if they’re shot to death at a concert. Of course, someone did try to delete the conversation, but there’s a golden rule in the world of social media: once you post it, you can never fully erase it! Thanks to a few screenshots, her words went down in infamy.

The death toll has now reached 58. More than 400 injuries have been reported. Yet, Gold doesn’t value the lives of these country music lovers.

Not the Only One

Of course, Gold isn’t the only one who didn’t seem to weigh her words carefully today. Earlier, a teacher tweeted that she prayed all the “Trumptards” would die.

Under the Twitter name TheResistANNce, “Ann #TheResistance” tweeted after the Vegas tragedy on Monday: “Lots of white Trump supporters in Las Vegas at route 21 watching Jason Aldean. Pray only Trumptards died! #prayforvegas.”

She, too, tried to use the leftist escape hatch (delete), but she was forced to delete her entire account after the storm of backlash crashed onto her feed.

Unfortunately, no one knows the real name of the tweeter who made the vile comments. However, karma will catch up to her soon enough. Meanwhile, Gold has a few problems brewing. She wasn’t so anonymous.

Gold’s Going Down

Usually, leftists get away with these twisted remarks. However, it looks as though society is getting tired of the double standards. The left can no longer call itself “loving and tolerant” if they refuse to practice what they preach.

The NFL is losing sponsorships faster than chicken on a June bug.  Now, it looks like Gold will get to hear Trump’s famous catchphrase: “YOU’RE FIRED!’

Too bad she won’t get to hear it from the POTUS himself. However, CBS wasted no time in giving Gold the news.

For once, CBS made the right call. To be honest, I’m a bit surprised, considering the history.

As The Daily Caller pointed out:

CBS has a history of hostility towards Republicans. Shortly after the attack on the GOP congressional baseball team gravely injuring Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise in June, former CBS anchor Scott Pelley questioned whether the shooting was “foreseeable, predictable and to some degree, self-inflicted.”

After seeing the reaction Americans have to the NFL, it’s no wonder that CBS quickly cut ties with Gold. They know at the end of the day it’s all about the ratings, and now that Trump is president, American consumers are being vocal in all sorts of new ways.

Hayley Geftman-Gold should know better. She’s a top legal executive. That means she should be forever conscious of the liabilities words carry. However, she didn’t seem to consider that when she had a public conversation demeaning Republicans and diminishing the tragedy unfolding.
