David Hogg Demands Another Boycott – Here’s Who He’s Attacking Now

Parkland school shooting survivor and gun control advocate David Hogg has a new target for his boycotting efforts – some of Wall Street’s biggest investment firms.

In a series of tweets posted on Tuesday, Hogg went after firms that invest in gun manufacturers. He singled out two – Blackrock and the Vanguard Group.

Hogg called for a boycott that convinced dozens of advertisers to stop buying ad time on Laura Ingraham’s show on Fox News, after she criticized his whining over not being accepted into college.

Ingraham ended up getting the last laugh, however, as advertisers are starting to return and her ratings have spiked significantly since the boycott was announced.

Both The Vanguard Group and Blackrock are investors in gun manufacturers Smith and Wesson and several others. which earned Hogg’s ire.

Here are the tweets Hogg posted on Tuesday to his over 765,000 followers.

He then followed up that tweet with a few new hashtags he hoped to get going.

Hogg may have taken on an unwinnable battle here. Investment firms don’t attract nearly the excitement from boycotting activists as high-profile public companies who advertise. These firms only answer to their investors, and if they are making money, no amount of bad publicity or boycott threats will change that. In addition, a bunch of high school and college students hold little sway with a company that caters to working investors.
