UPDATE: Two Dallas Police Officers, One Civilian Shot at Home Depot (VIDEO)

Two Dallas police officers and one civilian, a Home Depot employee, were critically wounded today during an attempted arrest inside of the home improvement store in Dallas.

UPDATE: 9:40 p.m CST – The suspect, Armando Juarez, is under arrest. He was captured after a high-speed chase in Dallas near the scene of the shooting, but the chase continued into the Uptown section of Dallas. Raw video of the chase is below.

The two officers and one civilian are still in critical condition. The two officers, who have yet to be identified, were partners. One, a male, was shot in the back of the head. The other, a female, was shot in the face. A third person, a Home Depot loss prevention employee, was also shot.

The shooting occurred early Tuesday afternoon in the Lake Highlands area, near Highway 75 and Forest Lane.

Fox 4 News reports that the officers were inside the Home Depot confronting a possible shoplifting suspect. After discovering he had warrants, the officers tried to arrest him. The suspect then opened fire, shooting the officers and one more person, and then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male.

Two officers and a civilian were shot Tuesday afternoon near a Home Depot in Lake Highlands, police said.

The officers were critically wounded in the shooting about 4:15 p.m. in the 11600 block of Forest Central Drive, near U.S. Highway 75 and Forest Lane.

Officers were searching for the suspected shooter near the wooded area and creek bed behind the store.

Aerial footage from the scene showed a man being loaded into an ambulance.

At least one officer was reportedly taken to Texas Health Presbyterian of Dallas with injuries, according to KTVT-TV (Channel 11).

Citing sources, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) said Dallas police were helping an off-duty officer working security arrest someone when the shots were fired.
