A FedEx driver is being hailed as a hero after stopping a flag burning in Iowa City, Iowa.
The incident was caught on video, and is striking a cord with those upset with liberal protesters who cannot accept the election results. In the Iowa City incident, protesters were mad at American “imperialism” and decided to burn a flag.
A heated exchange ensues, with the driver storming off with one of the flags.
According to the Iowa City Press Citizen, the group was protesting racial and social injustice as well as U.S. imperialism.
The delivery man, identified as Matt Uhrin, did not comment to the paper, except to say his actions were not connected to his employer.
Police officials said they arrested two people at the rally and charged them with violating the city’s public burn ordinance. The group claimed the protest was within their First Amendment rights, though they reportedly did not have permits to start the fire.
The FedEx driver’s actions were highly praised on Twitter, with many people calling him an American hero.

Sadly, the driver had to make a point of saying that his employer was not responsible for his actions. One would think FedEx would love to stand behind him.
What do you think about the FedEx driver who saved the American flag? Let us know in the comments!
UPDATE: We have just learned that FedEx will stand behind this patriotic driver with no change of status and no disciplinary measures. He will remain an employee of FedEx. God Bless America!
