Fox News stars Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity traded barbs on television and Twitter last night,, Wednesday in a testy feud triggered by Kelly’s diss of softball interview questions asked of both GOP nominee Donald Trump and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The “The Kelly File” host complained about Clinton’s pre-arranged questions from interviewer Steve Harvey, then declared:  “Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10:00, will go on Hannity – and pretty much only Hannity – and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly expand the tent.”

The remark was posted by Mediaite. Hannity shot back on Twitter, accusing Kelly of being in the tank for Clinton.

It is not the first in-house fight at Fox involving Kelly.

Last April, Kelly said she wished fellow anchor Bill O’Reilly had defended her against attack by Trump after the first GOP primary debate. O’Reilly said he did not want to step in the way of the “Fox News Channel hierarchy” by saying something public to Trump, with whom he is close.

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly continues to remark on Donald Trump’s exchanges on women.Last Wednesday she had a fiery exchange with Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway over her dismissing accusations of misogyny made against her candidate. During an interview on “The Kelly File”, Conway complained the Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton focused too much on Trump’s history with women. Conway said Trump’s opinion was that “it’s not nice that you’re running hundreds of millions of dollars in negative ads against me, and he has a point.”

Kelly pointed out that political advertisements aren’t expected to be nice, but Conway argued “the ads should be true,” prompting the host to say that the ads use Trump’s own words against him. Conway later accused the Clinton campaign of cherry-picking quotes to paint Trump in a poor light with women.

“You raise the question about, you know, he made a couple comments over 25 years. You know that’s not true. You know he has repeatedly made comments about women, about their looks, about their size, their weight,” Kelly said in response. “Even in this campaign, talking about Carly Fiorina’s face, retweeting a negative picture about Heidi Cruz’s face. Criticizing Hillary Clinton and her look.  And Kellyanne, this is an issue for him, is it not?”

Conway then went back to accusing Clinton of not focusing on the issues. “I’m just wondering why she’s spending tens of millions of dollars in negative ads and negative mail pieces and never putting together an aspirational, positive vision. “What I would say to that is this, that he should speak to America’s women based on the issues about which they care, prosperity and security, and he should talk about Obamacare and education and he should talk about the lies that Hillary Clinton has told over many different decades,” Conway said. “I think he should brag more about the thousands of women he has employed at the Trump Corporation over decades and the high positions that they have. They’ve been promoted, they’ve been well-compensated.”
