The media’s obsession with the President has spilled over, causing even liberal feminist reporters to attack another woman.
First Lady Melania Trump has been the subject of media ridicule and criticism unseen during the Obama years, when Michelle Obama was elevated to almost godlike status.
The latest example of ridicule comes from CNN reporter April Ryan, who has made a name for herself by yelling insane questions at President Trump. She is also known for berating White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders during press briefings. She even accused Sanders of lying when she claimed to have baked a pecan pie last year.
Ryan mocked Melania’s immigrant status – a cardinal sin for liberals – to say she is culturally “not American,” after announcing a cyberbullying campaign.
CNN commentator April Ryan is under fire after she said Melania Trump was not ‘culturally American’ while commenting on the First Lady’s ‘Be Best’ campaign.
Ryan and CNN’s Erin Burnett were discussing Melania’s new anti-cyberbullying campaign when she made the controversial comment.
‘This is a First Lady who is not culturally American, but she is learning the ways,’ Ryan told Burnett.
‘This is not just an American issue. These are not just American issues. These are international issues. Cyberbullying is an international issue.’
Both Ryan and Burnett had pointed out the irony of Melania’s campaign as Trump himself has become infamous for name-calling people on Twitter.
‘She’s well aware of her husband’s cyberbullying,’ Ryan said. ‘He’s considered by some, well many I would say, in different sectors, one of the biggest bullies.’
‘He will call you out in a moment’s notice and she stood in front of him and basically said she wants to show young people how it’s done and do it right.’
A number of critics took to social media to blast Ryan for her comment about Melania, a Slovenia native who moved to the US in 1996 on a work visa.
Here is video of Ryan’s remarks.
Previously, Ryan’s Trump bias was called out by Sanders, when she asked if the President was going to resign, for no reason at all.
