Armed thugs ATTACK Army Mom and baby home alone; WHAT HAPPENED NEXT WAS SHOCKING

The mother of an infant son was home alone with her baby when she was attacked by a couple of thugs. Semantha Bunce, 21, was caring for her young baby when two men kicked in her front door and entered her home.

Bunce’s husband was at work at the time, and she was alone with her baby. Bunce is a member of the 105th Engineer Battalion National Guard unit out of Raeford, North Carolina, and has been properly trained in the use of a firearm.

The two suspects began moving through the house, and Semantha ran to her bedroom where she secured her four-month-old son. She also grabbed a pistol from the bedroom and met the attackers at the bedroom door. The individuals who broke into her house clearly had ill intentions, and she was a mother with a child to protect. Her weapons training instinct kicked in, and shots were fired.  The shootout left this mother with two wounds, but she successfully managed to fend off her attackers. The two men fled the scene.

The 21-year-old mother checked on her baby, cared for her wounds, and then called 911.

Cases of individuals breaking into homes and assaulting females, or holding families as hostages while they clean out their bank accounts are frequently reported. Although the motives of the individuals, whether they be robbery, rape, murder, or all three, are not clear. It is clear is a gun in the hands of a mother protecting her baby was worth more than a cell phone that she could have used to call the police. If she had had time.

Bunce has undergone several surgeries since the shooting, but is expected to be okay, and according to WSOC-TV, Reco Latur Dawkins Jr, 23, has been caught, and charged with, “Attempted murder, felony breaking and entering, and conspiracy to commit felony breaking and entering.”

Ironically, Dawkins has been arrested multiple times previous to this incident for home invasion crimes.

“Dawkins was convicted of two previous break-ins and court records showed that charges in three other break-ins in 2014 had been dismissed, including one off Wilkinson Boulevard where officers caught Dawkins and a second suspect hiding under the house.” Dawkins’ bond has been set at $1 million.

This kind of story that makes me proud to be a card-carrying member of the NRA, with a weapons permit. Please share this article. I want everyone to know a weapon is the only equalizer for any woman.
