At a gala to honor yet another spoiled Hollywood liberal, Hillary Clinton compared herself to Wonder Woman. We wish we were kidding here, but there’s video to prove it.
The event, The Women In Film Los Angeles’ Crystal + Lucy Awards, was honoring actress Elizabeth Banks for her contributions to cinematic female excellence. Apparently for playing the villain in the new Power Rangers movie. Or her appearance in Zack and Miri Make a Porno. You know, non-objectified, female-empowerment stuff.
During the event, a video featuring Hillary Clinton was played. While she was supposed to praise Banks for her award, she quickly began talking about herself. She then made a reference to the new Wonder Woman movie, suggesting that she shares qualities with the character. Except for the fact that Wonder Woman tends to win her fights.
Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night compared herself favorably to comic and movie heroine Wonder Woman during a video appearance at a glitzy Beverly Hills awards show.
Clinton appeared in a 95-second video on behalf of actress Elizabeth Banks, a friend and supporter of Clinton who was being honored at the Women in Film Los Angeles’ Crystal + Lucy Awards. Banks was set to receive the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“On and off the screen, your commitment to lifting up women directors, producers, writers, composers, and executives has made such a difference,” Clinton said of Banks.
Clinton also name dropped the recently released movie Wonder Woman, which has garnered praise for its positive depiction of a female lead.
“Now I haven’t seen Wonder Woman yet, but I’m going to!” Clinton said in her message. “In part because it’s directed by the fabulous Patty Jenkins.”
“But something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley,” the two-time failed presidential candidate added, comparing her battle against Donald Trump to the Wonder Woman character.
Here’s the video. Just watch it. It’s pitiful.
