A 16-year-old kid (shown above) is dead after trying to defend his younger brother from a Muslim teen who bullied him.

The Muslim teenager reportedly was harassing the victim’s younger brother, and stabbed the older brother when he stepped in to stop him.

Alijay Morgan was with his 13-year-old brother Jamar when Mohammed Fadika began bullying Jamar on a Bronx street. When Alijay stepped in to defend Jamar, Mohammed stabbed him.

Fadika was later arrested at his home.

The Daily Mail has more.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in The Bronx over the weekend while defending his younger brother from a bully, and now police has arrested the teenage suspect in the killing.

Police responded to a report of an assault near West 181st Street and Grand Avenue shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday and found Alijay Morgan lying face-up on the ground with two knife wounds to his torso.

Morgan was rushed to St Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Sunday, police arrested 16-year-old Mohammed Fadika on charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to investigators, Morgan and Fadika knew each other and had fought in the past, reported the New York Post.

Not much more is currently known about the suspect or his family.

The 16-year-old murder suspect was taken into custody at his home on Grand Concourse at around 10.30pm on Sunday. His arraignment was scheduled for Monday.

Patricia Gay, 34, told the New York Daily News her son Alijay died protecting his 13-year-old brother, Jamar.

The younger boy told the paper he was playing near his family’s home when another boy struck him, unprovoked, and gave him a ‘wedgie.’

Jamar said he responded in kind, and the two of them began tussling.

Then Alijay stepped in and had some words with his brother’s alleged tormentor. The interaction ended with the 16-year-old boy being stabbed in the chest.

Gay was working at shift at Cipriani’s Catering in Manhattan when she got the call about the stabbing.

By the time she arrived as St Barnabas Hospital, her son had died.

Gay said Alijay loved drawing and styling men’s clothing, and aspired to be a fashion designer and tailor when he grew up. He also enjoyed rapping and dancing
