@POTUS Obama Tweets About NBA Games While the World Burns

While our nation and the rest of the world spiral further and further out of control, @POTUS has his eyes and mind on Kobe Bryant and the Warriors winning streak.

In 2014, Obama admitted, “I spend most of my time watching ESPN in the morning. I get so much politics I don’t want to be inundated with a bunch of chatter about politics during the day… There are times that I will admit at night, when I’ve got a really fat briefing book, where I might have the game on with the sound off.”

In the same year, the Government Accountability Institute released their findings that the neglectful ‘commander-in-chief’ had attended just 37.5% of Presidential Daily Briefings.

Mainstream media outlets quickly rushed to Obama’s defense, parroting the White House damage control talking points, clarifying that Obama ‘dutifully reads his briefing reports every day, but prefers to do it on his own time’ – only when he can sneak it in between episodes of SportsCenter, of course.

According to the Obama Golf Counter, #GOLFTUS had spent 270 days on the greens as of January 9, 2016. This was, of course, before the death and funeral of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia – through both of which, Obama golfed (natch).

“You have to understand that if you seek that office, you have to be prepared to give your life to it. Essentially the burden that any president, I think, strikes, with the American people is, you give me this office and in turn my, fears, doubts, insecurities, foibles, need for sleep, family life, vacations, leisure is gone. I am giving myself to you.”Barack Hussein Obama, 2008
