Professor Tweets Hurricane Harvey was ‘KARMA’ for Texans Supporting Trump, BUT HE DIDN’T EXPECT THIS RESPONSE

A college professor is took to Twitter claiming Hurricane Harvey is punishment upon the residents of the state of Texas for their support of President Donald Trump. His employers had a punishment of their own in mind for him.

Ken Storey is a professor of sociology at the University of Tampa. He is also more than a little bitter about Donald Trump winning the presidency, so he took to Twitter to mock the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

According to a report by Anthony Gockowski of Campus Reform, Storey sent out the following tweet during the hurricane. He later deleted his Twitter account, but Campus Reform obtained screenshots.

When confronted over his tweet, he said Trump supporters “deserve” to suffer like Harvey’s victims.

Campus Reform has more.

One of Storey’s followers responded to the tweet by noting that there are “lots of good people in Texas,” and so he “may want to rethink this one.”

“Well, the good people there need to do more to stop the evil their state pushes. I’m only blaming those who support the GOP there,” Storey elaborated, to which the same commenter replied by asking if he thinks the same about Trump supporters in Florida.

“Yep, those who voted for him here deserve it as well,” Storey answered, though he later deleted his Twitter account, but a screenshot of his account confirms that he teaches sociology.

It didn’t take long for his bosses to respond. According to Fox News, the University fired him on Tuesday afternoon, and released this statement.

“We condemn the comments and the sentiment behind them, and understand the pain this irresponsible act has caused,” the school said in a statement to The University of Tampa community. “As Floridians, we are well aware of the destruction and suffering associated with tropical weather. Our thoughts and prayers are with all impacted by Hurricane Harvey.”

If Storey is looking for a job, I hear ANTIFA is hiring. But they don’t pay well.
