Charlottesville, Virginia (SiC)—A state of emergency has just been declared in Charlottesville after chaos erupted during a White Nationalist display of force known as the #UniteTheRight rally.
Ever since Obama was elected in 2008, racial tensions have been through the roof. After years of identity politics, where men and women of all colors and creeds have been pit against one another, this is the end result—a vicious riot between #BLM and White nationalists, which looks more like a war zone than anything.

The protest started off peaceful, yet tensions were high. Thousands of alt-right members marched around with torches, proclaiming that whites will be a minority in the United States within the next 50 years, and chanting “Blood and soil.” It’s unclear who started the violence, although it seems that it began with a car plowing into the alt-right protesters.
Melania has addressed the nation, declaring that no good will ever come from violence—many disagree, but the core of Trump’s fan base seems to vehemently oppose the alt-right’s fascist tendencies. Cheyenne Roundtree and Hannah Parry of The Daily Mail report:
A car has plowed into protesters as violence continues to erupt at a rally where thousands of white nationalists were expected to gather for an alt-right event in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday.
At least eight people were injured during a destructive clash between white nationalists and counter-protesters at Emancipation Park before the controversial Unite the Right rally, which was called off by the state.
First Lady Melania Trump admonished the day’s outcome, tweeting: ‘Our country encourages freedom of speech, but let’s communicate w/o hate in our hearts. No good comes from violence.’
President Trump later chimed in and added: ‘We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!’
Hundreds were seen stomping through the city, wearing militia uniforms, waving flags and chanting ‘Blood and Soil’ as they made their way towards the event on Saturday morning.
Counter-protesters flocked to the march in retaliation against the white nationalists, neo-Confederates and alt-right activists, screaming: ‘We’re here, we’re gay, we fight the KKK!’
The protest hadn’t officially started but social media videos showed the rally was escalating as people were seen throwing objects, breaking out into fights and people spraying mace into the crowd.
The massive riots have forced VA Governor McAuliffe to declare a local emergency. The event was declared to be unlawful after protesters grew violent around 11am, and police were sent out to deal with the unruly crowd.
Arrests have been made by a riot squad, but the war between #BLM and the alt-right continues. Graphic footage, captured just recently by a man on the ground, can be seen below. Viewer discretion is advised.

While the majority of the violence seems to be against the alt-right, many are claiming it’s justified. The moderate right and the Left believe that the alt-right is the beginnings of a white nationalist movement, with the end goal of a “peaceful ethnic cleansing,” of America. What happens remains to be seen, but be sure to stay tuned for breaking updates. We will update this article as new information comes to light.
