The Man Who Was Just Picked By TRUMP As Secretary Of Defense – Say Bye to ISIS!

This is a real man. The man who will wipe ISIS off the face of the planet along with all other terrorist scum.

General James N. Mattis is known as quite the legend in the U.S. Military and with the civilians that know of his heroism. He’s also known by the name “MAD DOG MATTIS”.

The 66-year-old retired four-star general having met with President-elect Donald Trump last Saturday to discuss a possible job offer as defense secretary, it’s worth taking a look back on what he was really like when he was serving the U.S. military.

Serving as Marine for over 40 years, Gen. Mattis has been engaged with several wars that were waged involving the U.S. Including the first Gulf War, where he led a battalion of Marines in 1991.

Later, in 2003, General Mattis wrote a letter to the 1st Marine Division, prior to the assault into Iraq on March 19, 2003, motivating the Marines to fight for the United States and the cause as well as the fellow Marines standing beside them.

He concludes the letter with the motto of the 1st Marines: “No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy.” –American Military News

Check out the full letter here:

For decades, Saddam Hussein has tortured, imprisoned, raped and murdered the Iraqi people; invading neighboring countries without provocation; and threatened the world with weapons of mass destruction. The time has come to end his reign of terror. On your young shoulders rest the hopes of mankind.

When I give you the word, together we will cross the Line of Departure, close with those forces that choose to fight, and destroy them. Our fight is not with the Iraqi people, nor is it with members of the Iraqi army who choose to surrender. While we will move swiftly and aggressively against those who resist, we will treat all others with decency, demonstrating chivalry and soldierly compassion for people who have endured a lifetime of oppression under Saddam’s oppression.

Chemical attack, treachery and use of the innocent as human shields can be expected, as can other unethical tactics. Take it all in stride. Be the hunter, not the hunted: never allow your unit to be caught with its guard down. Use good judgement and act in best interests of our Nation.

You are a part of the world’s most feared and trusted force. Engage your brain before you engage your weapon. Share your courage with each other as we enter the uncertain terrain north of the Line of Departure. Keep faith in your comrades on your left and right and Marine Air overhead. Fight with a happy heart and strong spirit.

For the mission’s sake, our country’s sake, and the sake of the men who carried the Division’s colors is past battles-who fought for life and never lost their nerve-carry out your mission and keep your honor clean. Demonstrate to the world there is “No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy” than a U.S. Marine.

Mattis Letter to Marines

A former enlisted Marine who entered the Corps in 1969, Mattis received his commission as an infantry officer in 1972. He served in the Persian Gulf War, where he commanded 1st Battalion, 7th Marines. Mattis led Task Force 58 into southern Afghanistan at the onset of the war. In Iraq, he commanded troops during the first and second Battles of Fallujah, and alongside now-retired Army Gen. David Petraeus, oversaw the development of the Army and Marine Corps counterinsurgency doctrine that would come to define and shape both wars.

In 2013 Mattis left his post as commanding general of United States Central Command and retired from the Marine Corps after 44 years of service.

Five Badass quotes from General James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis

“Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.”

“I come in peace. I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, I’ll kill you all.”

“The first time you blow someone away is not an insignificant event. That said, there are some assholes in the world that just need to be shot.

“Marines don’t know how to spell the word defeat.”

“You are part of the world’s most feared and trusted force. Engage your brain before you engage your weapon.”
