In his analysis of the contest between Clinton and Donald Trump, Gingrich told SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon that “my total focus is on the number 38,” which is “the percent the Clinton Foundation pays men more than women.”
“Nobody’s defended it, nobody’s explained it,” he said of this wage gap. “If we can get across to every woman in America that here’s somebody who says all these strong words, but by the way, her foundation that she and her husband control pays men 38% more? Every time you hear her talk about her concern for women, just remember, they pay men 38% more at the Clinton Foundation.”
“If you could drive that one fact into the national consciousness, I think her candidacy would collapse,” Gingrich predicted.
The specifics of what the Clinton Foundation’s so-called pay gap is detailed at The Daily Caller and other sites.
Of course, anyone who actually pays any attention to the facts of this issue knows that the pay gap being based solely on gender is complete nonsense and that there are numerous factors that are involved in the disparity. Giving the benefit of the doubt to the Clinton Foundation there are probably substantive reasons as to why certain male executives make more than female executives since we don’t know the roles they actually play.
Therein lies the problem, Hillary’s grandstanding and the Democrats complete dishonesty on this matter doesn’t allow them to deserve that benefit of doubt.
