Liberals have another anti-God, anti-Parent Choice, Alt-Left agenda item to push. And if you don’t let them indoctrinate your children, you’re a bigot!
That is the message being given in one California charter school, where a transgender-themed book was introduced to kindergartners without parental knowledge or consent. It is being done despite studies that show the negative effects of the transgender agenda on young children.
Fox News revealed today:
“In June a transgender student at Rocklin Academy Gateway, a charter school in northern California, brought the children’s book “I Am Jazz” to school to share” a real life transgender story with her classmates.
No one informed the parents of these kindergarten-aged children that this would happen. No one gave parents the choice to pull their kids out of this Alt-Left reprogramming orgy. And apparently, no one at the northern California school board thinks parents should even be alarmed.
But let’s Leave Aside Politics and Focus on Medical Facts.
Johns Hopkins Medical School Professor, Dr. Paul McHugh and his medical colleagues at the American College of Pediatricians stated unequivocally that transgenderism harms children:
“The American College of Pediatricians urges healthcare professionals, educators, and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts – not ideology – determine reality.”
So why does the Alt-Left call conservative parents bigots if we don’t allow them to force their alt-reality on our kids? Dr. McHugh clarified that:
“Human sexuality is binary by design with the obvious purpose being the reproduction and flourishing of our species. No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex. Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one. … [T]his awareness develops over time and, like all developmental processes, may be derailed by a child’s subjective perceptions, relationships, and adverse experiences from infancy forward. People who identify as “feeling like the opposite sex” or “somewhere in between” do not comprise a third sex. They remain biological men or biological women. A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.”
Thinking that you’re biologically different (or, in this case, transgender) does not change your biology. Just ask the repeatedly discredited “trans-racial” Rachel Dolezal, or Nkechi Amare Diallo, as the daughter of German and Czech parents now calls herself.
Medical professionals testified that biology cannot be changed without reaping serious long-term consequences.
“Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse. Endorsing gender discordance as normal via public education and legal policies will confuse children and parents, leading more children to present to “gender clinics” where they will be given puberty-blocking drugs. This, in turn, virtually ensures they will “choose” a lifetime of carcinogenic and otherwise toxic cross-sex hormones, and likely consider unnecessary surgical mutilation of their healthy body parts as young adults.”
And how would Dr. McHugh know that the transgender ideology amounts to child abuse? During his 26 year tenure as psychiatrist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins Hospital, McHugh pioneered sex-change surgery. Why did he stop? Put simply, the idea that “one’s sex is fluid and a matter of choice” is extremely damaging, especially to young people.
Specifically, McHugh said:
“[T]en to 15 years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex-reassignment surgery rose to 20 times that of comparable peers.”
But never mind the suicide rate for biologically confused adults. That’s not a relevant factor to consider when determining the efficacy of transgenderism in kindergarten. Is it?
What’s the Status at Rocklin Academy?
After a loud uproar by parents and an emotional debate, the school board voted on Monday night against scrapping transgender lesson plans for 5-year-olds. They did, however, throw a concession to parents who objected. Now teachers must give parents “advance notice” before discussing “potentially controversial subjects.” Should that already be the standard operating procedure?
After the vote, board member Larry Steiner tried to shut down further dissent:
“Please let this end tonight. We cannot forget Rocklin Academy is a school of choice. The hostility has to end. Let’s bring back our sense of community.”
A choice for who, exactly?
Certainly not for the parents who were NOT informed that this psychologically damaging transgender curriculum would be forced on their 5-year-old children without their foreknowledge or consent.
