WATCH: Michelle Obama Praised Sex Predator Harvey Weinstein as a ‘Wonderful Human Being’ (VIDEO)

Harvey Weinstein

A recently rediscovered video from a 2013 White House event is not aging well for Michelle Obama. It shows the former First Lady praising Harvey Weinstein as a “wonderful human being,” although we now know the Hollywood producer has had a long (and well-known) history of harassing women. The video is featured below.

Weinstein’s behavior was revealed in a report by the New York Times on Thursday, and the long-time Democratic supporter has seen the politicians he has supported throw him under the bus.

Nearly every Democrat he has ever donated to has announced that they are giving the money he donated to charity. There are two notable exceptions, however: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have yet to address the scandal, or announce that they are giving his donations away. You can read more about that by clicking here.

Weinstein’s behavior was an open secret in Hollywood, but few called him out on it, because of the power and influence he wields in the film industry.

That makes the video from the 2013 event even more disturbing, in which Michelle Obama is hosting film students along with a number of Hollywood types, including Whoopi Goldberg and Blake Lively. The First Lady praises Weinstein as a “good friend” and a “wonderful human being.” The remarks were not just empty praise for a speech: Malia Obama actually interned for Weinstein this year, in his production office.

Fox News reports on the video.

Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein will reportedly be suspended from his film company pending an internal probe into multiple sexual harassment claims.

This comes after The New York Times reported Thursday that Weinstein has reached at least eight legal settlements with women over alleged harassment.

In the wake of these allegations, a video is making the rounds, showing former First Lady Michelle Obama praising Weinstein as a “wonderful human being” and a “good friend” at a student film symposium in 2013.

“I want to start by thanking Harvey Weinstein for organizing this amazing day,” Obama said at the Careers in Film Symposium at the White House. “This is possible because of Harvey. He is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse.”

“And the fact that he and his team took the time to make this happen for all of you should say something not about me or about this place, but about you,” she continued.

Weinsten reportedly had a close relationship with the Obamas, visiting the White House 13 times between 2010 and 2014, according to visitor records.

Here is the video.
