House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA-23) sponsored the legislation and framed it in the language of fighting terrorism…

Representative Amash is warning that Americans who are not terrorists–and cannot be charged with terrorism–face a loss of constitutional rights if HR 5611 is enacted.

“Pre crime” the flawed concept that is the stuff of science fiction in the “Minority Report” (in a nutshell for those who never saw the movie, psychics were able to project the future and that knowledge was used to stop crime before it happened) is something this government is trying to make a reality…WITHOUT THE PSYCHICS.

What could possibly go wrong?

The problem with governments never ending attempt at making an idiot proof plans like this (and to be sure, this is on a whole other level) is that idiots keep designing them.
